Farewell

i bid farewell

to those i love, as well as those i hate

to those who plea

goodbye

for tragedy calls to me

now all i must do

is reach out to thee

the last witness to my memory

for how could i possibly live

knowing i will one day forget

years of thoughts i have carefully

sown into my head

somehow these unwanted pieces of my life

aren’t ready to let go of me yet

all i have left is

the hope that someday

you will find

in a letter buried underground

the feelings i have yet to leave behind

i bid farewell

to those i love, as well as those i hate to those who plea

goodbye

for tragedy calls to me

now all i must do

is reach out to thee

the last witness to my memory

who knows when it’s coming

if it’s worth the wait

is it alright for me to just sit here

expecting fate to take place?

will the world live to forget

the images that play over and over in my head somehow these unwanted pieces of my life aren’t ready to let go of me yet
