Camille Davis
EDITOR IN CHIEF
Hey, I’m Camille, Editor-in-Chief of The Pariah! I’m from New York, and on campus I live in Day House. You can probably guess that I love writing (fiction in particular). Outside of that, I enjoy innovating in everything that I do, whether that is improving my matcha ratio, finding new ways to connect with others, or, of course, constantly seeking to better this magazine. I can’t wait to work with you all and see what you create :)

Kristen Ma
HEAD
Hello! I’m Kristen, and I will be serving as the Head of The Pariah. I grew up in Houston, Texas, but on campus, I live in Stevens House. I enjoy writing both creative non-fiction and poetry, and in my free time, dabbling in hybrid/lyrical work. I’m incredibly excited to introduce some new initiatives that I hope will expand the presence of the magazine, but even more excited to work with the new board and all our aspiring writers!

Alina Chen
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Hi! I'm Alina Chen, a Creative Director for The Pariah from the Class of 2027! My hometown is Irvine, California, and on campus, I live in Stevens House. My passion for creative writing comes from its intricacy as a medium for author-reader communication, and fields like phonaesthetics that amplify voice by bridging meaning and the senses. I joined The Pariah because I value the inimitable preciousness in stepping into another’s mind through writing, and its role as a hub of literary exchange.

Ellaine Ban
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Hello! My name is Ellaine Ban, and I am a member of the Class of 2028. I am from Brookline, Massachusetts, and on campus, I live in Paul Revere House. My main medium is short stories, where I love blending the barriers between fiction and reality and taking inspiration from historical events. As a creative director of The Pariah, I hope to foster creativity, expose others to the intricacies of literary technique, and encourage budding writers to share their stories. I look forward to cultivating this constructive and safe writing environment!

Gavin Shryoc
TECH MANAGER
I’m Gavin Shryoc, a day student living in Andover in the Class of 2028. Ever since learning how to read, I’ve experienced personal growth and reflection that would be impossible without literature as a catalyst. My favorite tales are often pieces of poetry or short pieces of prose (be that a personal narrative or a fictitious one), because I find they provide the most opportunity for a poignant and unique personal voice to come through from the writer. I’m elated to join The Pariah as Technology Manager, a position that I hope will allow me to polish our digital public image and create a more eloquent Pariah for our community to enjoy.

Bella Huang
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Hi! My name is Bella Huang, and I'm so excited to join The Pariah as the social media manager! I'm part of the class of 2028, and I'm from Lexington, Massachusetts. On campus, I live in Chase House. I'm drawn to shorter, more fragmented forms like lash fiction, poetry, and occasional bits of personal narratives. Often, a lot of my writing is shaped by the historical context and constructed identities. I'm looking forward to encountering new voices and styles, and to growing alongside the many talented writers through The Pariah!

Hey! My name is Kashvi Ramani. I am the head of the Pariah this year, as well as a Class of 2024 member at Andover. I am a boarder who lives in Adams House on campus, but I am originally from Northern Virginia, just south of Washington D.C. I am currently the Arlington Youth Poet Laureate and a YoungArts 2022 Finalist. I primarily write poetry, scripts, and songs, but write creatively in every aspect possible. I joined The Pariah because I love the exchange of ideas and seeing new pieces in their rawest forms. Any way I can contribute to making artists' works the best they can be is ideal!
-
Hello! My name is Catherine Kazmer. I am the Editor-in-Chief of The Pariah, and in the class of 2024 at Phillips Academy Andover. While I mainly write poetry, I also enjoy exploring other genres. I love editing because I believe that writing is inherently personal, and in each piece a writer creates, they convey a crucial part of themself and their view on the world. Through The Pariah, I am thrilled to help writers work towards the fullest expression of their vision.

Hey! I'm Eliza and I am a member of the class of 2026 at Phillips Academy Andover. Kentucky will always remain my home, but I have been fortunate enough to find a second home in Johnson House on campus. I fell in love with writing as a way to convey ideas that can be difficult to say, though come to life when seen on paper (or a screen). Editing for The Pariah has made me fall in love with editing process as well: collaborating with writers, learning from their creativity, and sharing our most vulnerable selves within a safe, supportive community.
-
Hello hello! I’m Michela (all pronouns) and I’m currently an editor for The Pariah. I’m big into poetry, flash fiction, and creative nonfiction. I think that annotated dialogue between writers and editors/readers in the margins of a piece is the prettiest thing, which is why I’m here!

Hi! My name is Sophie, and I’m a day student in the class of 2025 at Phillips Academy Andover.
